Sound baths, in plain language.

What is a sound bath?
A sound bath is a listening experience in which instruments such as crystal singing bowls and gong are played in layers over time. Most people rest seated or lying down. The “bath” refers to being surrounded by sound—there is no water involved.
What happens in a session?
You begin with a short check-in and time to get comfortable. Day then guides the transition into a sound journey using bowls, gong, and other instruments. The session closes gradually, with quiet time to reorient and optional reflection.
Do I need meditation experience?
No. There is nothing to achieve and no requirement to quiet your mind. You can simply listen, notice, rest, or adjust your position as needed.
How should I prepare?
Wear comfortable clothing and avoid arriving rushed if possible. Instructions about what is provided and what to bring will be confirmed with your booking. Let Day know in advance about access, positioning, hearing, or sensory needs.
Are online sessions available?
Online options may be available by request. Because the format differs from an in-person room, ask how the session will work, which speakers or headphones to use, and how to prepare your space before booking.
Practical details.
Pricing below reflects the current session menu. Final timing and group details are confirmed before payment.
Where are sessions offered?
S.H.E.T. is Portland-based. Exact in-person location or travel details are shared during scheduling. Online sessions can be discussed for people outside the area.
How much do sessions cost?
Private sessions are $88 for 60 minutes. A two-person session is $144 for 75 minutes. Group sessions for seven or more begin at $245; the final quote depends on the guest count, timing, and location.
How is payment handled?
Venmo is our primary payment method. Day will confirm the correct account, total price, payment timing, any deposit, and the rescheduling or cancellation policy in writing before you pay. Sending a payment alone does not confirm an appointment.
Can the sound be adjusted?
Yes. Sound can feel intense, and comfort matters. Discuss hearing sensitivity, migraines, sensory needs, pregnancy, implanted devices, or other relevant considerations before the session. You may also ask to pause or adjust during the experience.
Is sound healing medical treatment?
No. These sessions are complementary wellness experiences that may support rest or reflection. They do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent a medical or mental-health condition and are not a replacement for licensed care.
